Our Leadership

Our Leadership

Jesus | The Great Pastor

It’s His church, and He’s our Great Shepherd. Underneath the guidance of Jesus are leaders who are simply qualified Christians who follow Jesus and encourage others to follow him as well.

At WOBC, our leadership structure involves the lead pastor, deacons, staff, and church members.

Pastor Michael Heim came to White Oak Baptist Church in December 2006 filling in the pulpit. In January 2007, he became the Interim Pastor for five months where he then was voted to become the full-time pastor in May 2007. He attended East Texas Baptist University for two years (1991-1992) and then graduated from Patriot Bible University in Colorado with his Bachelor's (2000) and Master's (2002) in Biblical Studies. Pastor Michael has served in full-time ministry since 1992 in Colorado and Texas.

He has a heart for people and embodies what it means to be a shepherd. With love and compassion, he delivers every message with biblical accuracy and understanding. Pastor Michael looks forward to the Day of Christ's returning. However, until then he is content in gathering together to shepherd the flock that God has given him at White Oak Baptist Church.

Pastor Michael has been married to his high school sweetheart Amy since 1988. Together they have four grown children and five grandchildren.
